Description
Thuja is plant distributed in East Asia and North America’s western regions, growing up to 5-6 m. Generally pyramidical, Thuja trees have a thin, scaly outer bark besides a bast fiber. The branches grow either horizontally or vertically. Immatured scaly leaves arranged alternately on the twigs are needle-type. Lilac green, respectively small, female flower panicles are distinguished from reddish or yellowish, round male flower panicles produced on the edge of separate shoots.
