Description
Strelitzia mostly known as “Bird of Paradise”, may reach 3 m height and native in South Africa. Flowers starts some like April-May. Flowers located on beak-shaped green-purple coloured base, with orange calyx and dark blue petals. It makes a beautiful image reminiscent of a birds head. Each flower stays a few weeks, and than it renews itself. Likes lighty ambients, not full sun. Propagation is from seeds.
