Description
Pyracantha is widely distributed from Southeast Europe to Southeast Asia. It is an evergreen tree, resistant to -29 °C. The branches are spiky; the leaves may be dentate, entire or spiky. There are some species producing red, orange or yellow fruits. Flowers bloom in late summer. The species having white ornamental flowers are valuable in landscaping. As they can be pruned, they can be used for hedging
