Description

There are about 200 species. Pittosporum is a genus of shrubs and trees, growing up to 3-4 m and resistant to -10°C. The leaves are evergreen, small, entire and grayish-green. The flowers are white, single, and have a mild fragrance. They like humid climates, however vulnerable against wind. They are best grown under full sun. Due to their easy-to-grow characteristics, and especially their resistance to sea conditions, they are the plants that can easily be grown in the countries on the coastal strip of Mediterranean.
