Description
Lonicera is a genus of about 180 species of honeysuckle and shrub family of which 100 species are native to China. The leaves are opposite, simple, ovate and 1-10 cm long. Their colors are dark green and turns to bronze in early winter. The funnel-like flowers are fragrant, produce edible nectar, bloom throughout summer, and attract bees. Fast growing and resistant to salt. They are best in sunny locations or in partial shade. They are used for hedging purposes and can be shaped with shrub clipper.
