Description
They are native to Japan and Pacific islands and evergreen ornamental plants of tropical or subtropical regions. They grow up to 2 m. They are evergreen and the leaves are big, thick, feather-like rosette, bunch at the bark top and perennial. Top of tree crown covers maximum 2.5 m as diameter. They need to be protected against frost. They like relatively high humidity and grow best in partial shade; moreover direct sunshine exposure is inconveniency. Minimum temperature should be +16 °C. They can be cultivated in gardens, balconies, indoor or terraces.
