Description
Brachychitons (Bottletree) are native in Australia and South-East Asia and may reach 15 m. tall and 7 m. crown diameter. Leaves are everegreen, long stemmed and pointed. Flowers are bell-shaped, cream or white coloured, flowering starts in May. Propagation may be made with seeds. It likes full sun but sensitive to frost. It is selective on soil preference and needs much watering. In Turkey it may grow in East part of Black Sea region. It may be use in highway plantings.
