Description
Crataegus is native to Europe, North Africa and temperate regions of Asia, growing up to 15 m. The leaves are spiral, and the thorns are sharp-tipped branches. White and pink flowers bloom in May, and red fruits appear in fall. The leaves turn into red in fall. They like temperate climates and are resistant to salt. They are suitable for planting along water sources and ways; and can also be cultivated as roadside trees.
