Description
Quercus is native to Western Mediterranean and Turkey. They are evergreen or deciduous trees growing up to 30 m. At first, they grow fast, but later, growing slows down. The leaves are in different forms such as, narrow, elliptical, obovate, subulate, acicular, dagger-based or circular. The leaves may be hard as leather and with entire or rarely serrated, dentate margins. They like sunny areas and partial shade. They grow best in temperate climates.
