Description
Platanus is natively distributed to Asia, Europe and North America. It is a tree growing up to 25-30 m. The leaves are with 3-5 lobes. They are perennial plants, resistant to cold weather conditions and polluted air. They require plenty of light. Its root is very strong. It tolerates heavy pruning. As the leaves are not affected adversely so much from dust and gases, they are planted in the parks, orchards and avenues of large industrial cities.
