Description
Photinia is a genus of about 60 species of evergreen shrubs and small trees. The regions in where the temperate Asia climate is observed are its natively distributed areas. They may grow up to 15 m. The leaves are 1.5-5 cm long. New buds are in flame red color. White flowers blooming in April and May are produced in dense terminal corymbs, and have a mild scent. As they tolerate heavy pruning, they are used for hedging as well.
