Description
It is native of Africa and is a bulbous plant. It blooms red flowers in the mid of summer. When the plant’s pattern of flowering starts, the foliation dies down. It is ornamental with its blooming flowers. The leaves die down while the weather conditions are getting warm by late spring. Foliation restarts at the end of summer. It can tolerate up to -19 °C in winter.
